Quality in the Group: a major stake
Since its creation in 1955, the quality of the products and services provided to customers is at the heart of the enterprise's concerns. This organisation has allowed the Group to grow rapidly and steadily.
1st certification in 1993. As from the 90s the quality assurance systems have been progressively certified in accordance with ISO 9001in the majority of the industrial subsidiaries.
The successive transition of quality management systems to the 2000 and 2008 versions of ISO 9001 is a demonstration of the Group's willingness to heighten its customers' satisfaction.
Quality management
Within the Group the “QSE" services in the subsidiaries collaborate with each other so as to achieve permanent improvements in processes within a process synergy and towards a "QSE” (quality, safety. environment) evolution:
- efficient quality management,
- safety of persons in the workplace,
- reduction in the environmental impacts of our activities and products.
Signed in December 2009, a partnership agreement with AFNOR Certification commits to a progressive harmonisation of the certification of the Group’s subsidiaries in the world. This will also allow us to deploy the Group's "QSE" Policy whilst preserving the specific aspects of each subsidiary.
Environmental management
In today’s world the Group’s businesses are clearly involved in reducing the environmental impact of their activities:
- waste treatment,
- waste sorting and recycling,
- reduction in the volume of waste,
- integration of the environmental concept as from product design...
The ISO 14001 certification has become one of the priorities for the Group's businesses. A certain number of these are in the course of certification or have obtained this.
The important development in environmental management is one of the component parts of the most general principle of durable development along with control of energy.
Energy management
In the near future and faced with the challenge represented by energy efficiency, in a world in which energy supplies are becoming rarer and, therefore, dearer, the ISO 16001 will make it possible to implement an energy policy in line with the environmental notions linked with ISO 14001.
